Und zwar betrachtet aus der Perspektive des Untertanen. Alltags- und Regionalgeschichte rückt nicht die großen Bischofssitze oder Residenzstädte mächtiger Herrscher in den Brennpunkt der Untersuchung, sondern betrachtet das Leben, Wirken und Erleben "der normalen Menschen". Die hierbei gewünschten Identifikationspotenziale sollen Schüler ermutigen, den Geschichtsunterricht als unmittelbar sie betreffend zu erfahren. Angeknüpft wird dabei natürlich auf das Alltagswissen und die Erfahrungen der Schüler, die bei einer solchen Auseinandersetzung mit Alltags -und Regionalgeschichte unbedingt einfließen müssen, will guy die Schüler zu einem eigenverantwortlichen Umgang mit Geschichte anleiten und deren Nutzbarkeit über bleierne Daten- und Zahlenkolonnen hinaus verdeutlichen.
