Bisher ist unklar, ob und worin für türkisch-deutschsprachige Schülerinnen und Schüler Herausforderungen im Deutschen bei mathematischen Prüfungsszenarien liegen. Der alleinige Blick auf die Deutschkompetenz greift aber zu kurz. Eine Berücksichtigung allgemeiner Textverstehensleistungen auf Türkisch ist hier ein grundlegender Schritt zu einer erweiterten Perspektive. Im Zentrum dieses Bandes steht die linguistische examine der Mathematikleistungen von türkisch-deutschsprachigen Schülerinnen und Schülern in den Zentralen Prüfungen, die in Nordrhein-Westfalen am Ende der Jahrgangsstufe 10 durchgeführt werden. Hierzu werden die mathematischen Prüfungstexte in Bezug auf Kohäsion und Kohärenz unter Berücksichtigung von Schülerantworten untersucht. Eine kontrastive Darstellung von Kohäsion im Deutschen und im Türkischen liefert hierbei die Grundlage für die weiteren linguistischen Untersuchungen in diesem Band. Das Vorgehen der Studie ist insofern multiperspektivisch, als die Bereiche deutsch-türkische Sprachkontrastierung, Sprachkompetenz, Mathematikleistung sowie spezifische und allgemeine Kohäsionsverfahren quantitativ und qualitativ zusammengeführt werden.

Erkan Gürsoy, geb. 1981, studierte Germanistik, Turkistik, Deutsch als Zweitsprache/Interkulturelle Pädagogik und Deutsch als Fremdsprache auf Lehramt an der Universität Duisburg-Essen und an der Nationalen Kapodistrias Universität Athen.
