Es geht an erster Stelle um die „Validität“, als eines der Hauptgütekriterien eines checks. Hierzu werden verschiedene Arten der Validität vorgestellt. Auf Grund der theoretischen Erkenntnisse über die Validität soll dann über den Validierungsprozess der C-Tests mit verschiedenen Methoden berichtet werden, da guy den äußerst abstrakten Begriff der Validität mit Hilfe eines Praxisbezugs am besten verdeutlichen kann.
